Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 27, 2025
1. Who we are
PushToReader LLC is a U.S-based company building a service that sends processed web articles to your e-reader of choice. We're in pre-alpha, so everything here reflects an early-stage product that's still evolving. If you have questions, please e-mail info@pushtoreader.com.
2. What we collect & why
- Account e-mail + password / OAuth token - Lets you sign in and keeps your account secure.
- Your Kindle or other e-reader e-mail address - Deliver the processed article file to your device.
- Article URLs + full article text - Fetch, clean up, and format the content you asked us to send.
- Auth session cookies - Keeps you logged in; we set one cookie, nothing more.
- Basic server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamps) - Security, fraud-prevention, and troubleshooting.
We do not collect payment info, analytics data, or any extra tracking identifiers at this stage.
3. How we use your data
- Provide the service – authenticate you, process articles, and send them to your e-reader.
- Operate and improve – analyze errors and usage patterns (in aggregate) to make the product better during development.
- Product updates – occasionally e-mail you about changes or interruptions. (No marketing blasts; opt-out will be added before public launch.)
- Legal & security – detect misuse, comply with laws, and protect the rights of PushToReader and its users.
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not show ads.
4. How long we keep it
Because we're still building core features, we keep all data indefinitely during this pre-alpha phase. You can ask us to delete your account (and related data) at any time by e-mailing info@pushtoreader.com; we'll handle it as quickly as practicable.
5. Who else processes your data
- Cloud hosting & storage providers (servers, databases, file storage)
- E-mail delivery services (to send files and notifications to your e-reader or inbox)
These providers access data only to run PushToReader and are bound by confidentiality agreements. We don't share data for advertising or unrelated purposes.
6. International transfers
Our infrastructure is currently in the United States. If you live elsewhere, your data will be moved here under industry-standard safeguards (encryption, contractual commitments). Future releases will include more formal mechanisms to align with GDPR and other international rules.
7. Security measures
- Encryption in transit and at rest (HTTPS, managed-service encryption)
- Access controls limited to team members who need it for their jobs
- Ongoing monitoring of logs for suspicious activity
No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
8. Your choices & rights
Until we build a self-service dashboard, you can e-mail info@pushtoreader.com to:
- Get a copy of your personal data
- Correct or update inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
We will expand these options—and add GDPR/CCPA-style controls—before full launch.
9. Children's privacy
PushToReader is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll post any future updates right here with a new "Last updated" date.
